The Vienna-based International Press Institute (IPI) has issued an open letter asking Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and Health Minister Jan Blatný to improve their communication regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition, the IPI called on all media to be given access to Czech government news conferences, noting that media critical of the Babiš government have been excluded. The institute said, given that briefings are taking place online, there is no legitimate reason to limit accreditation.
