On Wednesday, there were 15,729 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Czech Republic, which is the highest daily increase since the beginning of the epidemic and, for the third time, when the number of positive tests in one day exceeded 15,000. In recent days, due to the expected effect of several measures, declines were expected. On this wave of mild optimism, the Ministry of Health also presented a plan for gradual dismantling.

The current maximum from October 27 was 65 lower. Compared to last Wednesday, which was a public holiday, there were 2,751 cases. The growth rate of new cases of the disease in the country slowed down in previous days, but from this Monday, daily increases are rising again.

Compared to the evening data, another 44 people were added to the balance of deaths with covid. Since the beginning of March, 4,133 people have died who have become infected with the coronavirus. According to the latest data, the number of hospitalized patients is now the highest in the entire epidemic; almost 8,300 people are treated with coronavirus in hospitals, of which 1,244 were in serious condition.

Since the epidemic outbreak, more than 378,700 people have become infected with COVID-19, and almost 200,000 of them have already been cured. There are currently 174,820 infected in the country.
