{"id":1565,"date":"2019-08-19T11:21:46","date_gmt":"2019-08-19T09:21:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/czechpoints.com\/?p=1565"},"modified":"2019-08-19T21:12:07","modified_gmt":"2019-08-19T19:12:07","slug":"million-moments-for-democracy-to-hold-protest-march-on-21-august","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/czechpoints.com\/million-moments-for-democracy-to-hold-protest-march-on-21-august\/","title":{"rendered":"Million Moments for Democracy to hold protest march on 21 August"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The anti-government protest movement A Million Moments for Democracy plans a march through Prague on the 50th anniversary of a protest held a year after the Soviet-led invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organizers of the march on 21 August say they want both to commemorate past events and draw attention to current political issues that threaten the Czech democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The group has accused Prime Minister Andrej Babi\u0161 (ANO) of undermining the rule of law while milking Brussels and Czech taxpayers to line his own pockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br> The Czech police have recommended that Mr Babi\u0161 be charged with fraud tied to the use of EU funds.
