V4 leaders to meet about coronavirus
A meeting of the Visegrad Four (V4), the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, will take place in Prague on Wednesday due to the spread of infection with a new type of coronavirus in Europe. This was announced on Twitter today by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who said the meeting was taking place at the suggestion of Warsaw.
“The talks of the V4 countries will be dedicated to the current situation in Europe. We want to prepare solutions and strengthen cooperation on coronavirus,” Morawiecki said. Babiš confirmed in a text message to ČTK that Wednesday’s meeting date is valid, the specific hour will be specified. “We are still waiting for the comments of the Hungarian and Slovak Prime Ministers,” Babis said. “None of the V4 countries has yet a patient with a positive finding,” added the Czech Prime Minister.
