Putin's Shock Claim - USA Caught Red Handed Meddling in Russian Election - Czech Points

Russia has announced they have proof the US tried to interfere in the country’s upcoming presidential election in shock claims after the US previously accused Moscow of trying to interfere in their own election in 2016, it has been reported.

Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told a leading Russian news agency that Washington had tried to destabilise his country ahead of Moscow’s presidential vote later this month.Ryabkov, Vladimir Putin’s loyal sidekick, did not offer any evidence to back up his claims despite saying the US was looking to create “chaos” in Russia.

Though the results of the March 18th election cannot be confirmed, President Putin appears to have advanced far ahead of his political opponents.

The accusations of US interference, which currently awaits proof, may indeed interfere with the ballet.

If the polls are to reflect the final result, Putin will return to power for a historic fourth term.

The Interfax news agency quoted Ryabkov as saying America was trying to sow chaos in Russia and that new US sanctions were aimed at destabilising Russia.

Last December, politicians close to Putin also claimed Washington was trying to “interfere” with the country’s electoral process.

The US intelligence agencies have long accused Moscow of interfering in its 2016 presidential election.

In the fallout on new sanctions, special counsel Robert Mueller has been tasked with leading an investigation into Trump’s alleged ties with Russia.

US spy chiefs told 21 states they were targeted by Putin’s hackers before the 2016 US presidential election.

Nonetheless, Russia has strongly denied any involvement in, or intentions to, disrupt the election.

Putin said any Russians charged in Mueller’s probe would not be extradited to the US.

Today, the Russian leader boasted Russia thwarted more than 400 foreign spies last year alone.

He went on to call on the FSB – the domestic intelligence agency – to block further foreign attempts to obtain political, economic, and military information.

He said: “In recent years, as you know very well, there has been an increase in foreign intelligence agency activity.

“They are working diligently on Russia, using the most modern methods, spy craft and technical espionage means.

“During the course of last year alone, the activities of 72 career intelligence officers and 397 agents of foreign spy services was thwarted.”

Last week, Putin boasted that his new array of nuclear weapons could hit almost any point in the world and evade a US-built missile shield.
