Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Milos Zeman on Saturday to be re-elected by the President of the Czech Republic. The Kremlin press service, quoted by NTV television, reported.
The Russian President in the telegram stressed his readiness to continue constructive cooperation on bilateral and international issues.
“The head of the Russian state stressed that the election results confirmed Zeman’s high authority as an experienced and responsible policy that promotes the interests and aspirations of the nation,” said the Kremlin.
According to him, Putin also appreciates Milos Zeman’s “principled” stance in favor of the development of friendly Russian-Czech relations and mutually beneficial cooperation. The Russian president also wished Zeman ‘health and new achievements’ in the work for the state.
