Ouch! Babis falls to 4th richest Czech on Forbes list

Amid troubles at home Prime Minister Andrej Babiš dropped from second to fourth place on Forbes list of richest Czechs. Babis’s assets have shrunk considerably over the last year by CZK 5 billion to CZK 70 billion.

Babis’s Agrofert holdings were included by Forbes to determine his net worth. “Although Agrofert is currently placed in two trust funds, Andrej Babiš remains the beneficiary of these funds; therefore, we still include him on the list,”

Forbes added that Babis’s Michelin star restaurant La Paloma at French Riviera lost one of its two stars in January 2019.
