One dead in Prague train accident - Czech Points

Early this morning, near the Prague-Vyšehrad railway station an express train hit and killed a man. The accident stopped traffic, trains between the central railway station and Smíchov did not run for more than an hour and a half, according to the Czech Railways website.

The accident happened around 05:20. A man was hit by an express train traveling from Prague to Klatovy. The victim of the collision is a man. The police are investigating the accident.

According to the announcement on their twitter on Twitter, the Prague fire brigade intervened together with the Railway Administration’s fire brigade.

Czech Railways initially expected traffic to stop at the scene of the accident by 8:30 a.m. On the route between the central railway station and Smíchov, passengers could use the metro or tram number 5. However, around 07:00, according to the carrier, traffic resumed at a reduced speed.
