Lounge TV 4K launches first local Ultra HD station

The Czech Republic’s first local Ultra HD channel has made its debut.

Rozhlas.cz reports that Lounge TV 4K will be distributed via Hispasat at 30 degrees West and also be made available to cable and IPTV operators.

The introduction of Ultra HD has been slow, with Skylink the only one of the country’s three leading operators to currently offer a service (Insight UHD).

Other services in the format currently available in the country include Love Nature 4K, NASA UHD and Travelxp 4K.
