Head-on collision in Golčov Jeníkov leaves 2 dead, 7 injured

Two people died in a night accident of a van and a truck on the bypass of Golčov Jeníkov. Seven people are injured. The road is still impassable.

The accident happened at about 01:15 on road number 38. The truck and van collided head-on. The forty-eight-year-old driver of the truck driving towards Havlíčkův Brod was alone in the car. A van carrying eight people was going in the opposite direction, and according to the first findings.

“The 32-year-old driver and his 47-year-old co-driver died in the van, and the remaining six people were slightly injured.” The truck driver is also injured.

Criminal investigators are investigating the cause and circumstances of the accident. A roadside breathe test given to the truck driver was negative.
