EU Adds Czech Republic to green travel list

EU Adds Czech Republic to green travel list - Czech Points

As of today, the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC) has ranked Czechia among the green countries with a low risk of infection, which will facilitate travel to European countries governed by a common EU traffic light. For most popular tourist destinations, including Croatia, Czechs will no longer need a negative test or spend time in quarantine.

Passengers from countries or regions classified as green, regardless of their nationality, can enter Croatia without being subject to isolation or test requirement. Until now, entry into Croatia was possible only after at least 14 days after completion of vaccination, within 180 days after covid-19, or with a negative PCR or antigen test.

The Croatian Tourist Board still recommends Czech tourists fill in the EnterCroatia form before the trip for easier border check-in. Travelers can take advantage of the faster EnterCroatia lane, the association said in a press release. From the beginning of the year to the end of May, Croatia was visited by more than a million tourists, the number of overnight stays reached 3.9 million. Of this, the Czechia has 117,000 overnight stays.

The European Commission (EC) launched the platform in mid-June open EU, where it is possible to find the rules for entry to individual countries of the European Union and also to Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland, depending on the color of the country of origin at the travel traffic light. The platform uses information from the ECDC and updates it every day. The platform, available for computers and mobile phones, is also available in Czech.
