Czech para-athlete Jaroslav Zelenka busted for doping!
World Archery, the international governing body for the sport of archery has suspended Czech para athlete Jaroslav Zelenka after testing positive for banned substances.
The official statement and suspension notice for an anti-doping rule violation follows below.
Para compound archer Jaroslav Zelenka of the Czech Republic has been suspended under clean sport rules.
The athlete was found in violation of Article 34.2.1 of the World Archery Anti-Doping Rules after testing positive for the prohibited substance Furosemide, which belongs to the diuretics and masking agents class of the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibited list.
Sanctions imposed are as follows:
- Disqualification of all prizes, points, medals and results obtained since 5 July 2018.
- A 13-month period of suspension until 8 December 2019.
